Project Overview

The 2025 Field House and Ancillary Spaces Project focuses on essential repairs and enhancements across our campuses, guided by the NYS Building Condition Survey, public input, and our long‑term facilities plan. The work centers on a new multi‑purpose Field House, auditorium improvements, athletic field upgrades, and HVAC/electrical upgrades to improve classroom comfort and efficiency.

What’s Included

Planned work is organized into three focus areas:

Enhancing Learning & Performance Spaces

  • HS Auditorium: seating, acoustics, interior patching & painting

Supporting Health, Athletics & Community

  • New multi‑purpose Field House (relieves main gym capacity)
  • Elementary grass field with drainage & irrigation

Improving Classroom Climate & Efficiency

  • HVAC replacements and A/C upgrades
  • Electrical switchgear upgrades to support A/C

Upgrading spaces that support learning, creativity, and community use.

This includes auditorium seating, acoustics, and interior patching & painting.

Financial Impact

On December 15, 2025, the Royalton-Hartland Central School District will hold a public vote on a proposed Field House and Ancillary Spaces Project. This $23.9 Million initiative aims to address aging infrastructure and upgrade facilities to support our evolving educational programs. Prioritized by the Board of Education, these improvements are crucial and timely.

The 2025 Field House and Ancillary Spaces Project focuses on essential repairs and enhancements at the RHCSD campuses, ensuring the safety of our buildings and enriching our educational environment. These needs have been identified using the 2025 NYS Building Condition Survey, public input and a comprehensive long-term facilities plan.
