RHCSD – PARKING PERMIT REQUIREMENTS 2008/09

A parking permit is a PRIVILEGE that is extended to Seniors and Juniors who attend Royalton-Hartland School. Seniors apply after June 30, 2008. Juniors apply after August 18, 2007. If you know you will need one in the future, you need to apply now.
**Applications will not be accepted after September 12, 2008.**
Permits are issued on a first-come, first-serve basis based upon the following priorities:
1. Student with release for academically related circumstances.
2. Student with approved early release for employment.
You need to submit a letter from your employer (on company letterhead) stating
that you are required to work immediately after school. It must include name
and phone number for verification. Permits will NOT be issued until
employment documentation with detailed schedule is received and verified.
3. Other students with special circumstances.
In order to qualify for a parking permit, a student MUST meet the following criteria:
Seniors
1. Applicant must have earned 15.0 credits and passed three (3) years
of
physical education.
2. Applicant must have had an 85% attendance rate for the 2007-2008 school
year (27 or fewer combined absence/tardy) regardless of legal/illegal,
emergency, or early dismissals.
3. Other considerations are activities, services, discipline, etc…
Juniors
1. Applicant must have earned 10.0 credits and passed two (2) years of
physical education.
2. Applicant must have had a 90% attendance rate for the 2007-2008 school
year (24 or fewer combined absence/tardy) regardless of legal/illegal,
emergency, or early dismissals.
3. Other considerations are activities, services, discipline, etc…
Parking permits may be revoked, but not limited to:
1.
Accumulation of combined absence/tardy rate (in keeping with the
attendance policy)
2. A student drives or rides to BOCES illegally.
3. Student serves ALERT/Out of School Suspension.
4. Student is placed on the ineligibility list during the 2008-2009 school year.
5. Parking outside of student area.
Permits will be issued using parking tags for reserved spaces located in the student parking areas only. Your permit is only good for your assigned vehicle and cannot be shared with another student. A copy of your vehicle registration MUST accompany the application.
All rules will be strictly enforced. Parking is at your own risk. RHCSD assumes no responsibility for damaged or stolen property.
